November 27, 2007 - ESTA ANNOUNCES WINNERS OF 2007 DEALERS’ CHOICE PRODUCT AWARDS NEW YORK, NY -- ESTA announces the winners of the 2007 Dealers' Choice Product Awards which recognize outstanding entertainment technology products in three categories: Expendable, Widget and Equipment. These Awards honoring product innovation were established in recognition of the fact that dealers have an enormous impact on the success of a new product, as well as a unique perspective on its merits. The winners for 2007 are: November 26, 2007 - ACN Task Group Receives ESTA’s Frank Stewart Volunteer of the Year Award NEW YORK, NY -- ESTA bestowed the 2007 Frank Stewart Volunteer of the Year Award, which recognizes extraordinary effort by a volunteer or group of volunteers during the previous year, on the ACN Task Group for their work in developing ANSI E1.17, the important new Architecture for Control Networks standard. The award was presented at ESTA's annual dinner on Thursday, November 15th prior to the start of the LDI trade show in Orlando, FL. November 26, 2007 - Control Protocols Interoperability Pavilion Shows Cooperative Diversity NEW YORK, NY -- The Control Protocols Interoperability Pavilion, put together for this years' LDI as part of ESTA's Technical Standards Program effort, provided examples of ACN (ANSI E1.17) capabilities, and details of the OpenACN project. A comprehensive gathering of RDM (ANSI E1.20) products from 14 different manufacturers was combined for a highly educational demonstration of the RDM "Discovery" process. The variety of controller and test applications demonstrated made it clear how powerful these new protocols, both ACN and RDM, can be. They will help shape the future interoperability of entertainment lighting products and applications. |
